Cake

My four best girlfriends and I keep a monthly afternoon coffee and cakes date. When it was my turn to host, I had forgotten to reschedule two appointments to leave time for cooking and cleaning. Then I remembered my Grandmother’s homemade fruit cakes that, from prep to decorations, were a total of 25 minutes!

Of course, we fancied up her classic recipe and put a little decorative gusto into it, but the little ones had fun helping me top them, and my ladies all exclaimed at how beautiful and pretty they had turned out.
